Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown
The Showdown continues this weekend at Simon Kenton with another double header. Game 1 features Beechwood vs Simon Kenton. This will also be Beechwood's first game of the year while Simon Kenton defeated Danville last week 12-7.

Game 2 showcases Cooper vs Holy Cross. Cooper recorded a historical win last week beating Ryle for the first time in football by a score of 35-6. Holy Cross won big over Dayton 69-20 last week but won't have it as easy this week. Cooper hasn't beaten Holy Cross yet and lost to them last year 19-10, but look for this to be a very good matchup.

Scott County vs Highlands
Highlands will face another tough opponent in Scott County this week at home. The Birds are coming off a 52-31 win last week over Boyle County but had to do so in comeback fashion. At one point Highlands was down 21-8, and was losing at the half 24-15. The Highlands defense turned it around though in second half keeping Boyle County scoreless until the final minutes of the game.

The Scott County Cardinals are a 6A school that lost in the 6A Championship game last year to Trinity. They defeated Louisville Seneca last week 46-14.
