Week 9 Republic Bank Football Game of the Week

This week’s Game of the Week features the Dayton Greendevils (3-5) vs. the Bellevue Tigers (4-4).

Dayton lost to Beechwood last week 54-20 but had back-to-back wins the previous 2 weeks against Bracken County and Ludlow. Bellevue defeated Ludlow last week 56-0. Both teams are 1-2 in the District. Bellevue has beaten Dayton the past 5 games, most recently a 17-7 win last year.

Game of the Week Replay
Last week’s Game of the Week saw Campbell County beat Ryle 51-20 to improve 3-0 in their District. Our Republic Bank Player of the Game was Senior QB Tyler Durham who lead the Camels with 119 rush yards, 3 rush TD’s, 184 passing yards, and 3 TD’s thrown. You can see the Replay of the game below. Highlands vs. Elder
Highlands’ toughest opponent yet this year will be Elder. The Panthers will visit Ft. Thomas, KY Friday night as they’ll seek to avenge last year’s loss to the Bluebirds 34-29. Highlands has also won 28 straight games, which they will try to preserve against an Elder team that’s 5-3 including a win over Moeller.

NewCath vs. Holy Cross
This week’s Thursday night game features NCC (4-4) against Holy Cross (3-5). The Breds have won back-to-back District games over Lloyd and Newport. Holy Cross has also won back-to-back District games over Newport and Brossart but holds a District loss against Lloyd. The Indians had lost 8 straight against the Breds until they beat them in the playoffs last year 24-21 on route to their 2A State Championship.
