The OMEGA Processing Game of the Week webcast features a double header this playoff weekend with some great games! We will be webcasting 2 games simultaneously on Friday at 7 PM, Newport vs. NewCath and Simon Kenton vs. Dixie.
In the Class 2A game, Newport (8-4) will try and break NewCath’s dominance over them. The Wildcats defeated Walton-Verona last week in Overtime 37-36 to advance while the Breds (6-5) took care of Lloyd 39-17. NewCath won the earlier match-up this year 22-17 and has won 11 straight over Newport since 2005.

In the Class 6A game, Simon Kenton (11-1) faces Dixie (11-1). Dixie’s only loss of the season was in game one of the season vs CovCath. Simon Kenton’s only loss was to Dixie four weeks ago 36-10. Last week, Simon Kenton defeated Lafayette 35-21 to advance while Dixie beat Ryle 46-21.

Game of the Week Replay
Last week’s Game of the Week featured Lloyd vs NewCath. NewCath's Nate Enslen was our OMEGA Processing Player of the Game as the Breds defeated Lloyd 39-17 in the 2nd Round of the playoffs. The Senior WR had 6 catches for 117 yards and 3 TD's. Enslen also recorded 5 tackles.

CovCath (8-4) at Highlands (10-2)
In Class 4A action, CovCath beat undefeated Johnson Central week 19-7 but now face a Highlands team that’s had their number since 2006. Highlands has won 12 straight against CovCath since then. The Bluebirds won earlier this year 42-7. CovCath has gotten healthier the past few weeks but is it enough to break the streak?
Frankfort (10-2) at Beechwood (10-2)
Beechwood has been rolling in the playoffs thus far. Last week the Tigers defeated Paris 51-0 and now play a Frankfort team that beat Bellevue last week 50-12. Beechwood is 5-1 against Frankfort since 2007 but lost last year’s game 35-21.
Cooper (8-4) at Anderson County (9-3)
Cooper has silently been moving along in the Class 5A playoffs with wins over Woodford County and Franklin County. They now face Anderson County who defeated South Oldham last week 42-38. This should be an interesting game to watch. The Jaguars are 1-1 against the Bearcats and lost last year to them 45-35.
